LUSS VISITOR CENTRE - YOUR VIEWS
Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park plan to sell the Luss Visitor Centre building and surrounding grounds. Luss & Arden Community Development Trust are considering purchasing it and have commissioned SKS Scotland to prepare a business plan to show how the buildings may be viably operated for community benefit. There are a number of ideas about how the building could best be used to create a community benefit, but you may have good ideas that the Trust haven't thought of. We'd love to hear them.

News From Luss and Arden
LUSS VISITOR CENTRE - LATEST
After undertaking a joint valuation of the Luss Visitor Centre (LVC) with
LLTNPA in 2023, and with the support from the residents, The Trust
continue to move forward with the preparation of a valid asset transfer of the
LVC from LLTNPA. We are currently working with SKS Scotland to prepare a
business plan that will form part of the Community Asset Transfer
application.
Time is of the essence and we need to make an asset transfer urgently before
the National Park sells the Visitor Centre.
We would like to reach out to you (Luss and Arden residents) for your ideas
on the potential use of the Visitor Centre to benefit the community. You can
access a short survey online above.
The importance of addressing the community’s needs will be at the forefront
of the application.
Also, as mentioned in the previous newsletter, we would like to call on
community members to volunteer to join the Trust with the specific purpose
of managing the process that utilises the LVC for community benefit.
If you would like to help with the process, please email
[email protected] or visit the Trusts website where you can
also find the application form to become a member.
